Jared Young is a ISA Certified Arborist and the assistant district manager of the Davey Tree Expert Company based in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Jared has been an arborist with Davey Tree since 2020 and has held positions as climbing arborist, certified plant healthcare applicator, and sales/consulting arborist. He has an Associate’s degree in Natural Resource Conservation & Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Resource Technology.
Jared strives to provide best management practices, providing well-rounded care for landscapes ranging from integrated pest management, tree and shrub pruning and removal, fertilization, lawn care, and proper planting.
As an arborist, his ultimate goal is to educate homeowners so they can make informed decisions for the long-term care of their trees and health of their landscape.
Jared and his wife, Claire, live in Shakopee. Originally from Colorado, Jared & Claire met by chance when he was in Minnesota for a hockey tournament in 2013, and after his hockey career ended, he settled in Claire’s home state. Jared’s hockey career took him throughout most of the US and portions of Canada, playing Junior hockey in Wisconsin and NCAA college hockey at SUNY Morrisville in New York state. He enjoys fishing, golfing, ice fishing, and spending time in the woods.
